- For day one, partner one researches the artist’s mentors and influences and partner two does research on the artist’s origins, birth place, and family. Fill out your Spider Map individually, with the middle topic circle having your artist's name inside it. Students should ask themselves these questions:
- Where was the artist born?
- What was family life like for them?
- At what age did they start creating art?
- Who was their mentor or who influenced their mature style?
- What areas of Italy did they mainly work and live in?
- Did they become more popular after death or were they popular during their lifetime?
- When did they die?
- Where are they buried?
- How old were they when they died?
- Students should hand in their completed Spider Map to Ms. Stables at the end of class.
- Students should use these websites to find their assigned information. Use the guiding questions above to aide in your search because some of the websites are quite wordy.
